Washer recess dimensions that actually fit

European front-load washers need more depth than many Aarhus utility niches provide once you account for hose bend radius and vibration clearance. We measure the appliance spec sheet against your alcove before any cabinet face is drawn.

Trøjborg row houses often stack washer and dryer in a 90 cm wide closet. We specify shelf gaps above the dryer for lint tools and below the washer for drip trays without blocking the service panel.

Detergent and cleaning supply bays

Child-safe latches matter when bleach bottles share space with pet food bins. We group chemicals on a high shelf with a lip rail and assign lower drawers to bulky paper goods and microfibre stacks.

Latin Quarter flats sometimes hide the utility zone behind a kitchen door. We plan hinge direction so an open cupboard door does not block the hallway when you unload laundry.

Ironing board and drying rack storage

Wall-mounted ironing boards need 12 cm of depth plus hook clearance. Freestanding drying racks fold to different widths; we note your model and reserve a vertical slot rather than assuming a generic 40 cm gap.

When ceiling height allows, a pulley drying line can replace floor-standing racks. We mark beam locations on the layout sheet for installer confirmation.

Electrical and plumbing access panels

Danish rental agreements often require visible shut-off valves for tenant maintenance. We never draw fixed shelving across access panels without a removable section noted for the joiner.

Extra socket placement for steam generators and robot vacuums is flagged on the elevation so electricians can rough-in before cabinetry arrives.

Newer Aarhus waterfront flats combine boiler, washer, and bike tyre pump in one 2 m² room. Priority ranking during the first visit determines whether sports gear or cleaning supplies wins the single available wall.
