Bike storage for Aarhus commuters

Aarhus ranks among Denmark's most cycle-heavy cities. Wall-mounted hooks must align with wheelbase and handlebar width so a family of four bikes does not overlap in a Trøjborg garage bay.

We distinguish between daily commuters stored at handlebar height and weekend touring bikes that need horizontal wall brackets with heavier duty anchors into concrete block.

Ski and outdoor crate walls

Seasonal gear rotation drives wall layout more than aesthetics. Skis and poles need vertical slots 20 cm apart; summer crates stack on reinforced shelves rated for 25 kg each.

Latin Quarter basement lockers often share space with district heating pipes. We map pipe runs on the layout so hooks never penetrate forbidden zones marked by the housing association.

Camping and pram equipment zones

Collapsible prams and pushchairs consume surprising floor area when leaned in a corner. Vertical wall tracks with adjustable brackets reclaim floor space for parking one car in a single garage slot.

Camping stoves, lanterns, and sleeping mats fit modular bin systems we size to your existing crate dimensions rather than forcing new container purchases.

Load ratings and wall substrates

Plasterboard alone cannot carry a loaded bike. We specify ply backing panels, bolt types, and spreader plates based on what our stud finder reveals during the site visit.

Garage walls in older Trøjborg rows may be single-skin brick with uneven surfaces. Pack-out shims and rail systems are noted for the installer when the wall is not perfectly flat.

Seasonal swap workflow

Gear walls fail when summer items get buried behind winter skis. We design a left-to-right seasonal flow: current season at grab height, off-season gear on upper shelves with labelled crate fronts.

STO-04 specifications cost €460 and include anchor schedules plus a shopping list of compatible track hardware. Pair with STO-05 labelling for household clarity.
